What VMLogin expects from a proxy
VMLogin stores the proxy inside the profile, so each profile can have a different connection. It accepts HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 proxies with a username and password, and it includes a connection test that reports the external IP, country, city and timezone before you commit. Those details feed the profile's own settings: timezone, language and geolocation can follow the IP automatically, which is what you want.
A mobile proxy fits this model well because the IP carries a believable location and a carrier network. A dedicated one goes further. Since only your profile uses the modem, the IP history is yours alone, and the timezone the browser derives from it will not conflict with another customer's activity.

Entering your EliteProx proxy in a profile
Open your EliteProx dashboard and pick the proxy you want to dedicate to the profile. Note the host, the HTTP port and the SOCKS5 port, the username and the password. The rotation link is on the same row; you will not need it during setup but keep it handy.
In VMLogin, create a new browser profile or edit an existing one and go to the proxy part of the profile settings. Select the proxy type. For general browsing and account work, SOCKS5 is our first choice because it tunnels everything, including DNS lookups, without altering requests. If a site behaves strangely with SOCKS5, switch to HTTP and use the matching port. Fill in host, port, username and password.
Press the test button. VMLogin will connect and display the IP with its location. Check that the city is the one you ordered and that the network is a US carrier. Then enable the options that set timezone, geolocation and language based on the IP. Save the profile, start it, and confirm the IP inside the browser using any IP lookup page. If the two readings agree, the profile is ready for use.

Sticky sessions versus rotation in VMLogin
Our proxies are sticky by default: the IP stays put until you ask for a change. That is the right behaviour for any profile that stays logged into an account, because a stable IP matches what a real phone on the same network would look like over a work session. When you want a new IP, open the rotation link and the modem reconnects. Unlimited rotations are included on every plan and there is no wait between changes.
Rotate between tasks rather than in the middle of one. A good habit is to rotate before starting a profile for the day and again after closing it. If you run many profiles in a batch, script the rotation link so each profile gets a fresh IP before it opens. Our API exposes the same action if you prefer to integrate rotation into your own tooling.
Scaling to many profiles
Assign one dedicated EliteProx proxy per VMLogin profile. It is the simplest rule and it prevents the most common mistake, which is quietly sharing an IP between two identities. Name profiles and proxies with the same convention, for example client, city and a number, so anyone on the team can see the pairing at a glance.
Group profiles by metro. If a set of accounts is meant to be in Chicago, every one of them should sit on a Chicago proxy with a Chicago timezone. VMLogin supports grouping and tagging, and our dashboard lets you label proxies, so keep the two aligned. When a project moves region, use the free self-service location moves from your dashboard to shift the proxy, then re-test the profile so its timezone updates.
VMLogin also supports sharing profiles with team members and offers automation hooks, so operators can open a profile with its proxy already configured and scripts can launch profiles without a human copying credentials. Combining that with proxies bound to individual profiles keeps everything auditable.
Fixing the usual problems
If the proxy test fails with an authentication error, check for a stray space in the username or password and confirm the port matches the type. If the test passes but the browser shows no connection, the profile may be blocking the proxy for some protocol; switching to SOCKS5 usually resolves it. When a page loads but a different location shows, the profile probably had a manual timezone set earlier. Clear it and let the IP drive the setting.
WebRTC can reveal a local address if it is left on default. In the profile's fingerprint settings, set WebRTC to use the proxy address or disable it. DNS leaks are prevented by using SOCKS5 with remote resolution. If a logged-in session gets logged out unexpectedly, check whether something called the rotation link while the profile was open.

Does VMLogin work with SOCKS5 mobile proxies?
Yes. Select SOCKS5 as the type in the profile's proxy settings and use the SOCKS5 port from your dashboard with the same username and password. SOCKS5 tunnels DNS and UDP, which is why we suggest it as the default for VMLogin.
How many profiles can share one EliteProx proxy?
Technically as many as you like, but we recommend one profile per proxy for account management. Sharing means shared IP history. Use separate proxies and group them by city instead.
Will the IP change on its own during a session?
No. Our proxies hold the same IP until you use the rotation link or the API. Carriers assign a fresh address when the modem reconnects, and that reconnect only happens when you trigger it.
Can I move a proxy to another city for a new client?
Yes, with free self-service location moves from your dashboard. The proxy entry stays the same and the host changes to the new metro. Run the VMLogin proxy test again afterwards so the profile's timezone and geolocation are refreshed.
